I- CONTEXT AND STAKES
Nowadays, Human Rights play a constantly increasing role within national and international legal systems. Therefore, not only legal experts, but also other actors of society must now thoroughly study the subject. Although Human Rights are not always explained nor applied in certain countries, one must consider their importance. This is why training is necessary through knowledge and detailed practice.

III- GENERAL OBJECTIVES
Identify and understand every citizen and\or professional's role in promoting
and applying Human Rights in Europe
Know Human Right's various standards
Know Human Rights Institutions and relative procedures
Analyse concrete situations regarding Human Rights
IV- CONTENTS
General presentation.
The international and European Human Rights Institutions.
The international and European Human Rights Texts.
Professional practice situation analysis and in-depth study of certain subjects.
V- METHOD
Training takes place as interactive seminars (focus on presentation and problem identification). Theoretical and practical cases will alternately be studied, focusing on an analysis of professional situations or cases based on participant and/or speaker's experience. To preserve interactivity, attendance is limited to approximately 15 persons.
VI- DURATION
Training is 3 to 4 days long, as follows: 2 days for the common-core syllabus, and 2 days for the study units. However, duration changes according to the participant's specific expectations.
VII- LANGUAGE
Courses are in French or English.

Training costs 1 550 Euro a day. Traveling expenses, hotels and meals are not included.

Professional situations analysis and practical cases study
Analysing professional situations and practical cases allows the course to focus on certain Human rights and particular procedures of referral to a competent international court.
Application before the Human Rights Committee: delay, admissibility and
decision of the committee.
Application before the European Social Charter Committee: authorized applications,
delay, procedure, admissibility, decision …
